One of the best things about being an author is interacting with kids. That’s why I love doing in-person author visits. There’s something magical about watching a child’s eyes light up when they realize they can write stories too!
Inspiring children to write has many benefits. Kids who are interested in writing are more likely to enjoy reading. And the more a child reads, the better writer and communicator they will become by improving their language skills.
Writing enhances a child’s ability to concentrate. Short stories work best, not only promoting focus but allowing the child to use their imagination. Imagination is key for developing problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
I am honored to play a role in promoting a child’s interest in reading and writing through author visits. If you’d like to schedule a visit, you may contact me at 419.902.9264 or fill out the Schedule Visit form here.
